Raj Kundra, who was arrested in a pornography case earlier this year and eventually released on bail, broke his silence on Monday. Says he has never been involved in the production or distribution of pornographic content.
Shilpa Shetty’s husband said the entire episode was a “witch hunt” in a social media post.
Raj was protected from arrest by the Supreme Court last week. As part of an FIR filed against him for alleged dissemination of pornographic videos.
On Monday, Kundra said, “After much thought, given that there are a lot of incorrect claims and articles going around. My silence was misunderstood as a weakness. I would like to state unequivocally that I have never been involved in the creation or distribution of pornography in my life.
“This whole episode felt like a witch hunt.” Because the case is pending I cannot develop, but I am ready to stand trial and I have complete confidence in the justice system, where the truth will prevail. “
Kundra said the media had previously found him guilty. He and his family were subjected to great anguish (ongoing). This constitutes serious violations of his human and constitutional rights.
