The inhabitants of Mangaluru, Karnataka, bathed in dirty, muddy water as they zealously celebrated “Kesard Onji Dina”.

The celebration involves people having fun in the muddy water, and it was certainly a well-spent Sunday for the local kids.

Children can be seen diving into the slush and dancing to music in videos of the event which were shared on social media. The event drew a large crowd.

The video received more than 41,000 views and viewers responded in various ways. While some found it fascinating, others were worried about the Covid pandemic.

According to the media tweet, women also participated in the event. Vijaya Yuva Sangama organized the event.

According to the organizers, the purpose of the event was to raise awareness of agriculture and related sports.

Running, reverse running, kabaddi, volleyball and ball throwing competitions were also organized as part of the event.
