A video showing a young man using math to figure out the past participle of the word “steal” has gone viral. In the viral clip, the man uses cross-multiplication with the variable method to comically “infer” the answer to a previous question about particles.

The man combined English grammar with mathematical calculation, which made the internet laugh.

Dr Arvind Mayaram, the former finance secretary, shared a video on Twitter that received more than 23,000 views.

As stated in the tweet, “Wicked Wit! When the English teacher is on vacation and the principal asks the math teacher to take the English class!

As the video shows, the man writes on a whiteboard: “If growth is cultivated, then flies away =? “Look what a mathematician will do.” It continues to represent the past participle of volé and multiplies the crosses with the variable “y”, The formula “y X Grew = volé X GREW” is found.

He gradually comes to the conclusion that “y = stole”. Then he chuckled and said, “As a result, the past flight particle has flown away.”
