Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed to be indicted in mosque sanctity case

Lahore court docket has summoned Saba Qamar and singer Bilal Saeed on October 14 for indictment in a case referring to the video shoot of tune Qabool on the Wazir Khan mosque.

The mosque sanctity case was heard by a Judicial Magistrate. Both Saba and Bilal appeared in court docket and marked their attendance. The court docket supplied Saba and Bilal with a replica of the challan every and directed them to seem on the subsequent listening to.

The case was filed by Akbari Gate police in 2020 on the grievance of lawyer Farhat Manzoor. They are dealing with fees of violating the sanctity of the Wazir Khan mosque by dancing through the shoot of the music video.

The FIR was registered underneath Section 295 (deliberate and malicious acts meant to insult non secular emotions of any class by insulting its faith or non secular beliefs) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Earlier on September 8, the court docket issued bailable arrest warrants towards Saba and Bilal after they failed to seem in court docket. They had been granted bail towards surety bonds value Rs30,000 every.

Both of them had posted apologies following the controversy. Bilal assured that he would take away the nikkah sequence shot on the mosque.
